49-50
1 야곱이 그 아들들을 불러 이르되 너희는 모이라 너희가 후일에 당할 일을 내가 너희에게 이르리라
1 Then Jacob called for his sons and said: "Gather around so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come.
2 너희는 모여 들으라 야곱의 아들들아 너희 아버지 이스라엘에게 들을지어다
2 Assemble and listen, sons of Jacob; listen to your father Israel.
3 르우벤아 너는 내 장자요 내 능력이요 내 기력의 시작이라 위풍이 월등하고 권능이 탁월하다마는
3 Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, the first sign of my strength, excelling in honor, excelling in power.
4 물의 끓음 같았은즉 너는 탁월하지 못하리니 네가 아버지의 침상에 올라 더럽혔음이로다 그가 내 침상에 올랐었도다
4 Turbulent as the waters, you will no longer excel, for you went up onto your father`s bed, onto my couch and defiled it.
5 시므온과 레위는 형제요 그들의 칼은 폭력의 도구로다
5 Simeon and Levi are brothers-- their swords are weapons of violence.
6 내 혼아 그들의 모의에 상관하지 말지어다 내 영광아 그들의 집회에 참여하지 말지어다 그들이 그들의 분노대로 사람을 죽이고 그들의 혈기대로 소의 발목 힘줄을 끊었음이로다
6 Let me not enter their council, let me not join their assembly, for they have killed men in their anger and hamstrung oxen as they pleased.
7 그 노여움이 혹독하니 저주를 받을 것이요 분기가 맹렬하니 저주를 받을 것이라 내가 그들을 야곱 중에서 나누며 이스라엘 중에서 흩으리로다
7 Cursed be their anger, so fierce, and their fury, so cruel! I will scatter them in Jacob and disperse them in Israel.
8 유다야 너는 네 형제의 찬송이 될지라 네 손이 네 원수의 목을 잡을 것이요 네 아버지의 아들들이 네 앞에 절하리로다
8 Judah, your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father`s sons will bow down to you.
9 유다는 사자 새끼로다 내 아들아 너는 움킨 것을 찢고 올라갔도다 그가 엎드리고 웅크림이 수사자 같고 암사자 같으니 누가 그를 범할 수 있으랴
9 You are a lion`s cub, O Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness--who dares to rouse him?
10 규가 유다를 떠나지 아니하며 통치자의 지팡이가 그 발 사이에서 떠나지 아니하기를 실로가 오시기까지 이르리니 그에게 모든 백성이 복종하리로다
10 The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler`s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and the obedience of the nations is his.
11 그의 나귀를 포도나무에 매며 그의 암나귀 새끼를 아름다운 포도나무에 맬 것이며 또 그 옷을 포도주에 빨며 그의 복장을 포도즙에 빨리로다
11 He will tether his donkey to a vine, his colt to the choicest branch; he will wash his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes.
12 그의 눈은 포도주로 인하여 붉겠고 그의 이는 우유로 말미암아 희리로다
12 His eyes will be darker than wine, his teeth whiter than milk.
13 스불론은 해변에 거주하리니 그 곳은 배 매는 해변이라 그의 경계가 시돈까지리로다
13 Zebulun will live by the seashore and become a haven for ships; his border will extend toward Sidon.
14 잇사갈은 양의 우리 사이에 꿇어앉은 건장한 나귀로다
14 Issachar is a rawboned donkey lying down between two saddlebags.
15 그는 쉴 곳을 보고 좋게 여기며 토지를 보고 아름답게 여기고 어깨를 내려 짐을 메고 압제 아래에서 섬기리로다
15 When he sees how good is his resting place and how pleasant is his land, he will bend his shoulder to the burden and submit to forced labor.
16 단은 이스라엘의 한 지파 같이 그의 백성을 심판하리로다
16 Dan will provide justice for his people as one of the tribes of Israel.
17 단은 길섶의 뱀이요 샛길의 독사로다 말굽을 물어서 그 탄 자를 뒤로 떨어지게 하리로다
17 Dan will be a serpent by the roadside, a viper along the path, that bites the horse`s heels so that its rider tumbles backward.
18 여호와여 나는 주의 구원을 기다리나이다
18 I look for your deliverance, O LORD.
19 갓은 군대의 추격을 받으나 도리어 그 뒤를 추격하리로다
19 Gad will be attacked by a band of raiders, but he will attack them at their heels.
20 아셀에게서 나는 먹을 것은 기름진 것이라 그가 왕의 수라상을 차리리로다
20 Asher`s food will be rich; he will provide delicacies fit for a king.
21 납달리는 놓인 암사슴이라 아름다운 소리를 발하는도다
21 Naphtali is a doe set free that bears beautiful fawns.
22 요셉은 무성한 가지 곧 샘 곁의 무성한 가지라 그 가지가 담을 넘었도다
22 Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a spring, whose branches climb over a wall.
23 활쏘는 자가 그를 학대하며 적개심을 가지고 그를 쏘았으나
23 With bitterness archers attacked him; they shot at him with hostility.
24 요셉의 활은 도리어 굳세며 그의 팔은 힘이 있으니 이는 야곱의 전능자 이스라엘의 반석인 목자의 손을 힘입음이라
24 But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,
25 네 아버지의 하나님께로 말미암나니 그가 너를 도우실 것이요 전능자로 말미암나니 그가 네게 복을 주실 것이라 위로 하늘의 복과 아래로 깊은 샘의 복과 젖먹이는 복과 태의 복이리로다
25 because of your father`s God, who helps you, because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies below, blessings of the breast and womb.
26 네 아버지의 축복이 내 선조의 축복보다 나아서 영원한 산이 한 없음 같이 이 축복이 요셉의 머리로 돌아오며 그 형제 중 뛰어난 자의 정수리로 돌아오리로다
26 Your father`s blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains, than the bounty of the age-old hills. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
27 베냐민은 물어뜯는 이리라 아침에는 빼앗은 것을 먹고 저녁에는 움킨 것을 나누리로다
27 Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he divides the plunder.
28 이들은 이스라엘의 열두 지파라 이와 같이 그들의 아버지가 그들에게 말하고 그들에게 축복하였으니 곧 그들 각 사람의 분량대로 축복하였더라
28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them, giving each the blessing appropriate to him.
29 그가 그들에게 명하여 이르되 내가 내 조상들에게로 돌아가리니 나를 헷 사람 에브론의 밭에 있는 굴에 우리 선조와 함께 장사하라
29 Then he gave them these instructions: "I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
30 이 굴은 가나안 땅 마므레 앞 막벨라 밭에 있는 것이라 아브라함이 헷 사람 에브론에게서 밭과 함께 사서 그의 매장지를 삼았으므로
30 the cave in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre in Canaan, which Abraham bought as a burial place from Ephron the Hittite, along with the field.
31 아브라함과 그의 아내 사라가 거기 장사되었고 이삭과 그의 아내 리브가도 거기 장사되었으며 나도 레아를 그 곳에 장사하였노라
31 There Abraham and his wife Sarah were buried, there Isaac and his wife Rebekah were buried, and there I buried Leah.
32 이 밭과 거기 있는 굴은 헷 사람에게서 산 것이니라
32 The field and the cave in it were bought from the Hittites. "
33 야곱이 아들에게 명하기를 마치고 그 발을 침상에 모으고 숨을 거두니 그의 백성에게로 돌아갔더라
33 When Jacob had finished giving instructions to his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed, breathed his last and was gathered to his people.
50장
1 요셉이 그의 아버지 얼굴에 구푸려 울며 입맞추고
1 Joseph threw himself upon his father and wept over him and kissed him.
2 그 수종 드는 의원에게 명하여 아버지의 몸을 향으로 처리하게 하매 의원이 이스라엘에게 그대로 하되
2 Then Joseph directed the physicians in his service to embalm his father Israel. So the physicians embalmed him,
3 사십 일이 걸렸으니 향으로 처리하는 데는 이 날수가 걸림이며 애굽 사람들은 칠십 일 동안 그를 위하여 곡하였더라
3 taking a full forty days, for that was the time required for embalming. And the Egyptians mourned for him seventy days.
4 곡하는 기한이 지나매 요셉이 바로의 궁에 말하여 이르되 내가 너희에게 은혜를 입었으면 원하건대 바로의 귀에 아뢰기를
4 When the days of mourning had passed, Joseph said to Pharaoh`s court, "If I have found favor in your eyes, speak to Pharaoh for me. Tell him,
5 우리 아버지가 나로 맹세하게 하여 이르되 내가 죽거든 가나안 땅에 내가 파 놓은 묘실에 나를 장사하라 하였나니 나로 올라가서 아버지를 장사하게 하소서 내가 다시 오리이다 하라 하였더니
5 `My father made me swear an oath and said, "I am about to die; bury me in the tomb I dug for myself in the land of Canaan." Now let me go up and bury my father; then I will return.` "
6 바로가 이르되 그가 네게 시킨 맹세대로 올라가서 네 아버지를 장사하라
6 Pharaoh said, "Go up and bury your father, as he made you swear to do."
7 요셉이 자기 아버지를 장사하러 올라가니 바로의 모든 신하와 바로 궁의 원로들과 애굽 땅의 모든 원로와
7 So Joseph went up to bury his father. All Pharaoh`s officials accompanied him--the dignitaries of his court and all the dignitaries of Egypt-
8 요셉의 온 집과 그의 형제들과 그의 아버지의 집이 그와 함께 올라가고 그들의 어린 아이들과 양 떼와 소 떼만 고센 땅에 남겼으며
8 besides all the members of Joseph`s household and his brothers and those belonging to his father`s household. Only their children and their flocks and herds were left in Goshen.
9 병거와 기병이 요셉을 따라 올라가니 그 떼가 심히 컸더라
9 Chariots and horsemen also went up with him. It was a very large company.
10 그들이 요단 강 건너편 아닷 타작 마당에 이르러 거기서 크게 울고 애통하며 요셉이 아버지를 위하여 칠 일 동안 애곡하였더니
10 When they reached the threshing floor of Atad, near the Jordan, they lamented loudly and bitterly; and there Joseph observed a seven-day period of mourning for his father.
11 그 땅 거민 가나안 백성들이 아닷 마당의 애통을 보고 이르되 이는 애굽 사람의 큰 애통이라 하였으므로 그 땅 이름을 아벨미스라임이라 하였으니 곧 요단 강 건너편이더라
11 When the Canaanites who lived there saw the mourning at the threshing floor of Atad, they said, "The Egyptians are holding a solemn ceremony of mourning." That is why that place near the Jordan is called Abel Mizraim.
12 야곱의 아들들이 아버지가 그들에게 명령한 대로 그를 위해 따라 행하여
12 So Jacob`s sons did as he had commanded them:
13 그를 가나안 땅으로 메어다가 마므레 앞 막벨라 밭 굴에 장사하였으니 이는 아브라함이 헷 족속 에브론에게 밭과 함께 사서 매장지를 삼은 곳이더라
13 They carried him to the land of Canaan and buried him in the cave in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre, which Abraham had bought as a burial place from Ephron the Hittite, along with the field.
14 요셉이 아버지를 장사한 후에 자기 형제와 호상꾼과 함께 애굽으로 돌아왔더라
14 After burying his father, Joseph returned to Egypt, together with his brothers and all the others who had gone with him to bury his father.
15 요셉의 형제들이 그들의 아버지가 죽었음을 보고 말하되 요셉이 혹시 우리를 미워하여 우리가 그에게 행한 모든 악을 다 갚지나 아니할까 하고
15 When Joseph`s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, "What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?"
16 요셉에게 말을 전하여 이르되 당신의 아버지가 돌아가시기 전에 명령하여 이르시기를
16 So they sent word to Joseph, saying, "Your father left these instructions before he died:
17 너희는 이같이 요셉에게 이르라 네 형들이 네게 악을 행하였을지라도 이제 바라건대 그들의 허물과 죄를 용서하라 하셨나니 당신 아버지의 하나님의 종들인 우리 죄를 이제 용서하소서 하매 요셉이 그들이 그에게 하는 말을 들을 때에 울었더라
17 `This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.` Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father." When their message came to him, Joseph wept.
18 그의 형들이 또 친히 와서 요셉의 앞에 엎드려 이르되 우리는 당신의 종들이니이다
18 His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. "We are your slaves," they said.
19 요셉이 그들에게 이르되 두려워하지 마소서 내가 하나님을 대신하리이까
19 But Joseph said to them, "Don`t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?
20 당신들은 나를 해하려 하였으나 하나님은 그것을 선으로 바꾸사 오늘과 같이 많은 백성의 생명을 구원하게 하시려 하셨나니
20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
21 당신들은 두려워하지 마소서 내가 당신들과 당신들의 자녀를 기르리이다 하고 그들을 간곡한 말로 위로하였더라
21 So then, don`t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children." And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.
22 요셉이 그의 아버지의 가족과 함께 애굽에 거주하여 백십 세를 살며
22 Joseph stayed in Egypt, along with all his father`s family. He lived a hundred and ten years
23 에브라임의 자손 삼대를 보았으며 므낫세의 아들 마길의 아들들도 요셉의 슬하에서 양육되었더라
23 and saw the third generation of Ephraim`s children. Also the children of Makir son of Manasseh were placed at birth on Joseph`s knees.
24 요셉이 그의 형제들에게 이르되 나는 죽을 것이나 하나님이 당신들을 돌보시고 당신들을 이 땅에서 인도하여 내사 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 맹세하신 땅에 이르게 하시리라 하고
24 Then Joseph said to his brothers, "I am about to die. But God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob."
25 요셉이 또 이스라엘 자손에게 맹세시켜 이르기를 하나님이 반드시 당신들을 돌보시리니 당신들은 여기서 내 해골을 메고 올라가겠다 하라 하였더라
25 And Joseph made the sons of Israel swear an oath and said, "God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up from this place."
26 요셉이 백십 세에 죽으매 그들이 그의 몸에 향 재료를 넣고 애굽에서 입관하였더라
26 So Joseph died at the age of a hundred and ten. And after they embalmed him, he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.시편 (Psalms)
31
1 여호와여 내가 주께 피하오니 나를 영원히 부끄럽게 하지 마시고 주의 공의로 나를 건지소서
1 In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness.
2 내게 귀를 기울여 속히 건지시고 내게 견고한 바위와 구원하는 산성이 되소서
2 Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.
3 주는 나의 반석과 산성이시니 그러므로 주의 이름을 생각하셔서 나를 인도하시고 지도하소서
3 Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.
4 그들이 나를 위하여 비밀히 친 그물에서 빼내소서 주는 나의 산성이시니이다
4 Free me from the trap that is set for me, for you are my refuge.
5 내가 나의 영을 주의 손에 부탁하나이다 진리의 하나님 여호와여 나를 속량하셨나이다
5 Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth.
6 내가 허탄한 거짓을 숭상하는 자들을 미워하고 여호와를 의지하나이다
6 I hate those who cling to worthless idols; I trust in the LORD.
7 내가 주의 인자하심을 기뻐하며 즐거워할 것은 주께서 나의 고난을 보시고 환난 중에 있는 내 영혼을 아셨으며
7 I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.
8 나를 원수의 수중에 가두지 아니하셨고 내 발을 넓은 곳에 세우셨음이니이다
8 You have not handed me over to the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place.
9 여호와여 내가 고통 중에 있사오니 내게 은혜를 베푸소서 내가 근심 때문에 눈과 영혼과 몸이 쇠하였나이다
9 Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief.
10 내 일생을 슬픔으로 보내며 나의 연수를 탄식으로 보냄이여 내 기력이 나의 죄악 때문에 약하여지며 나의 뼈가 쇠하도소이다
10 My life is consumed by anguish and my years by groaning; my strength fails because of my affliction, and my bones grow weak.
11 내가 모든 대적들 때문에 욕을 당하고 내 이웃에게서는 심히 당하니 내 친구가 놀라고 길에서 보는 자가 나를 피하였나이다
11 Because of all my enemies, I am the utter contempt of my neighbors; I am a dread to my friends-- those who see me on the street flee from me.
12 내가 잊어버린 바 됨이 죽은 자를 마음에 두지 아니함 같고 깨진 그릇과 같으니이다
12 I am forgotten by them as though I were dead; I have become like broken pottery.
13 내가 무리의 비방을 들었으므로 사방이 두려움으로 감싸였나이다 그들이 나를 치려고 함께 의논할 때에 내 생명을 빼앗기로 꾀하였나이다
13 For I hear the slander of many; there is terror on every side; they conspire against me and plot to take my life.
14 여호와여 그러하여도 나는 주께 의지하고 말하기를 주는 내 하나님이시라 하였나이다
14 But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God."
15 나의 앞날이 주의 손에 있사오니 내 원수들과 나를 핍박하는 자들의 손에서 나를 건져 주소서
15 My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me.
16 주의 얼굴을 주의 종에게 비추시고 주의 사랑하심으로 나를 구원하소서
16 Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.
17 여호와여 내가 주를 불렀사오니 나를 부끄럽게 하지 마시고 악인들을 부끄럽게 하사 스올에서 잠잠하게 하소서
17 Let me not be put to shame, O LORD, for I have cried out to you; but let the wicked be put to shame and lie silent in the grave.
18 교만하고 완악한 말로 무례히 의인을 치는 거짓 입술이 말 못하는 자 되게 하소서
18 Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous.
19 주를 두려워하는 자를 위하여 쌓아 두신 은혜 곧 주께 피하는 자를 위하여 인생 앞에 베푸신 은혜가 어찌 그리 큰지요
19 How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you.
20 주께서 그들을 주의 은밀한 곳에 숨기사 사람의 꾀에서 벗어나게 하시고 비밀히 장막에 감추사 말 다툼에서 면하게 하시리이다
20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from accusing tongues.
21 여호와를 찬송할지어다 견고한 성에서 그의 놀라운 사랑을 내게 보이셨음이로다
21 Praise be to the LORD, for he showed his wonderful love to me when I was in a besieged city.
22 내가 놀라서 말하기를 주의 목전에서 끊어졌다 하였사오나 내가 주께 부르짖을 때에 주께서 나의 간구하는 소리를 들으셨나이다
22 In my alarm I said, "I am cut off from your sight!" Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help.
23 너희 모든 성도들아 여호와를 사랑하라 여호와께서 진실한 자를 보호하시고 교만하게 행하는 자에게 엄중히 갚으시느니라
23 Love the LORD, all his saints! The LORD preserves the faithful, but the proud he pays back in full.
24 여호와를 바라는 너희들아 강하고 담대하라
24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.
