창세기
47장
1 요셉이 바로에게 가서 고하여 이르되 내 아버지와 내 형들과 그들의 양과 소와 모든 소유가 가나안 땅에서 와서 고센 땅에 있나이다 하고
1 Joseph went and told Pharaoh, "My father and brothers, with their flocks and herds and everything they own, have come from the land of Canaan and are now in Goshen."
2 그의 형들 중 다섯 명을 택하여 바로에게 보이니
2 He chose five of his brothers and presented them before Pharaoh.
3 바로가 요셉의 형들에게 묻되 너희 생업이 무엇이냐 그들이 바로에게 대답하되 종들은 목자이온데 우리와 선조가 다 그러하니이다 하고
3 Pharaoh asked the brothers, "What is your occupation?" "Your servants are shepherds," they replied to Pharaoh, "just as our fathers were."
4 그들이 또 바로에게 고하되 가나안 땅에 기근이 심하여 종들의 양 떼를 칠 곳이 없기로 종들이 이 곳에 거류하고자 왔사오니 원하건대 종들로 고센 땅에 살게 하소서
4 They also said to him, "We have come to live here awhile, because the famine is severe in Canaan and your servants` flocks have no pasture. So now, please let your servants settle in Goshen."
5 바로가 요셉에게 말하여 이르되 네 아버지와 형들이 네게 왔은즉
5 Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Your father and your brothers have come to you,
6 애굽 땅이 네 앞에 있으니 땅의 좋은 곳에 네 아버지와 네 형들이 거주하게 하되 그들이 고센 땅에 거주하고 그들 중에 능력 있는 자가 있거든 그들로 내 가축을 관리하게 하라
6 and the land of Egypt is before you; settle your father and your brothers in the best part of the land. Let them live in Goshen. And if you know of any among them with special ability, put them in charge of my own livestock."
7 요셉이 자기 아버지 야곱을 인도하여 바로 앞에 서게 하니 야곱이 바로에게 축복하매
7 Then Joseph brought his father Jacob in and presented him before Pharaoh. After Jacob blessed Pharaoh,
8 바로가 야곱에게 묻되 네 나이가 얼마냐
8 Pharaoh asked him, "How old are you?"
9 야곱이 바로에게 아뢰되 내 나그네 길의 세월이 백삼십 년이니이다 내 나이가 얼마 못 되니 우리 조상의 나그네 길의 연조에 미치지 못하나 험악한 세월을 보내었나이다 하고
9 And Jacob said to Pharaoh, "The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty. My years have been few and difficult, and they do not equal the years of the pilgrimage of my fathers."
10 야곱이 바로에게 축복하고 그 앞에서 나오니라
10 Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from his presence.
11 요셉이 바로의 명령대로 그의 아버지와 그의 형들에게 거주할 곳을 주되 애굽의 좋은 땅 라암셋을 그들에게 주어 소유로 삼게 하고
11 So Joseph settled his father and his brothers in Egypt and gave them property in the best part of the land, the district of Rameses, as Pharaoh directed.
12 또 그의 아버지와 그의 형들과 그의 아버지의 온 집에 그 식구를 따라 먹을 것을 주어 봉양하였더라
12 Joseph also provided his father and his brothers and all his father`s household with food, according to the number of their children.
13 기근이 더욱 심하여 사방에 먹을 것이 없고 애굽 땅과 가나안 땅이 기근으로 황폐하니
13 There was no food, however, in the whole region because the famine was severe; both Egypt and Canaan wasted away because of the famine.
14 요셉이 곡식을 팔아 애굽 땅과 가나안 땅에 있는 돈을 모두 거두어들이고 그 돈을 바로의 궁으로 가져가니
14 Joseph collected all the money that was to be found in Egypt and Canaan in payment for the grain they were buying, and he brought it to Pharaoh`s palace.
15 애굽 땅과 가나안 땅에 돈이 떨어진지라 애굽 백성이 다 요셉에게 와서 이르되 돈이 떨어졌사오니 우리에게 먹을 거리를 주소서 어찌 주 앞에서 죽으리이까
15 When the money of the people of Egypt and Canaan was gone, all Egypt came to Joseph and said, "Give us food. Why should we die before your eyes? Our money is used up."
16 요셉이 이르되 너희의 가축을 내라 돈이 떨어졌은즉 내가 너희의 가축과 바꾸어 주리라
16 Then bring your livestock, said Joseph. "I will sell you food in exchange for your livestock, since your money is gone."
17 그들이 그들의 가축을 요셉에게 끌어오는지라 요셉이 그 말과 양 떼와 소 떼와 나귀를 받고 그들에게 먹을 것을 주되 곧 그 모든 가축과 바꾸어서 그 해 동안에 먹을 것을 그들에게 주니라
17 So they brought their livestock to Joseph, and he gave them food in exchange for their horses, their sheep and goats, their cattle and donkeys. And he brought them through that year with food in exchange for all their livestock.
18 그 해가 다 가고 새 해가 되매 무리가 요셉에게 와서 그에게 말하되 우리가 주께 숨기지 아니하나이다 우리의 돈이 다하였고 우리의 가축 떼가 주께로 돌아갔사오니 주께 낼 것이 아무것도 남지 아니하고 우리의 몸과 토지뿐이라
18 When that year was over, they came to him the following year and said, "We cannot hide from our lord the fact that since our money is gone and our livestock belongs to you, there is nothing left for our lord except our bodies and our land.
19 우리가 어찌 우리의 토지와 함께 주의 목전에 죽으리이까 우리 몸과 우리 토지를 먹을 것을 주고 사소서 우리가 토지와 함께 바로의 종이 되리니 우리에게 종자를 주시면 우리가 살고 죽지 아니하며 토지도 황폐하게 되지 아니하리이다
19 Why should we perish before your eyes--we and our land as well? Buy us and our land in exchange for food, and we with our land will be in bondage to Pharaoh. Give us seed so that we may live and not die, and that the land may not become desolate."
20 그러므로 요셉이 애굽의 모든 토지를 다 사서 바로에게 바치니 애굽의 모든 사람들이 기근에 시달려 각기 토지를 팔았음이라 땅이 바로의 소유가 되니라
20 So Joseph bought all the land in Egypt for Pharaoh. The Egyptians, one and all, sold their fields, because the famine was too severe for them. The land became Pharaoh`s,
21 요셉이 애굽 땅 이 끝에서 저 끝까지의 백성을 성읍들에 옮겼으나
21 and Joseph reduced the people to servitude, from one end of Egypt to the other.
22 제사장들의 토지는 사지 아니하였으니 제사장들은 바로에게서 녹을 받음이라 바로가 주는 녹을 먹으므로 그들이 토지를 팔지 않음이었더라
22 However, he did not buy the land of the priests, because they received a regular allotment from Pharaoh and had food enough from the allotment Pharaoh gave them. That is why they did not sell their land.
23 요셉이 백성에게 이르되 오늘 내가 바로를 위하여 너희 몸과 너희 토지를 샀노라 여기 종자가 있으니 너희는 그 땅에 뿌리라
23 Joseph said to the people, "Now that I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh, here is seed for you so you can plant the ground.
24 추수의 오분의 일을 바로에게 상납하고 오분의 사는 너희가 가져서 토지의 종자로도 삼고 너희의 양식으로도 삼고 너희 가족과 어린 아이의 양식으로도 삼으라
24 But when the crop comes in, give a fifth of it to Pharaoh. The other four-fifths you may keep as seed for the fields and as food for yourselves and your households and your children."
25 그들이 이르되 주께서 우리를 살리셨사오니 우리가 주께 은혜를 입고 바로의 종이 되겠나이다
25 You have saved our lives, they said. "May we find favor in the eyes of our lord; we will be in bondage to Pharaoh."
26 요셉이 애굽 토지법을 세우매 그 오분의 일이 바로에게 상납되나 제사장의 토지는 바로의 소유가 되지 아니하여 오늘날까지 이르니라
26 So Joseph established it as a law concerning land in Egypt--still in force today--that a fifth of the produce belongs to Pharaoh. It was only the land of the priests that did not become Pharaoh`s.
27 이스라엘 족속이 애굽 고센 땅에 거주하며 거기서 생업을 얻어 생육하고 번성하였더라
27 Now the Israelites settled in Egypt in the region of Goshen. They acquired property there and were fruitful and increased greatly in number.
28 야곱이 애굽 땅에 십칠 년을 거주하였으니 그의 나이가 백사십칠 세라
28 Jacob lived in Egypt seventeen years, and the years of his life were a hundred and forty-seven.
29 이스라엘이 죽을 날이 가까우매 그의 아들 요셉을 불러 그에게 이르되 이제 내가 네게 은혜를 입었거든 청하노니 네 손을 내 허벅지 아래에 넣고 인애와 성실함으로 내게 행하여 애굽에 나를 장사하지 아니하도록 하라
29 When the time drew near for Israel to die, he called for his son Joseph and said to him, "If I have found favor in your eyes, put your hand under my thigh and promise that you will show me kindness and faithfulness. Do not bury me in Egypt,
30 내가 조상들과 함께 눕거든 너는 나를 애굽에서 메어다가 조상의 묘지에 장사하라 요셉이 이르되 내가 아버지의 말씀대로 행하리이다
30 but when I rest with my fathers, carry me out of Egypt and bury me where they are buried." "I will do as you say," he said.
31 야곱이 또 이르되 내게 맹세하라 하매 그가 맹세하니 이스라엘이 침상 머리에서 하나님께 경배하니라
31 Swear to me, he said. Then Joseph swore to him, and Israel worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.마태복음
15장
1 그 때에 바리새인과 서기관들이 예루살렘으로부터 예수께 나아와 이르되
1 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
2 당신의 제자들이 어찌하여 장로들의 전통을 범하나이까 떡 먹을 때에 손을 씻지 아니하나이다
2 Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don`t wash their hands before they eat!
3 대답하여 이르시되 너희는 어찌하여 너희의 전통으로 하나님의 계명을 범하느냐
3 Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
4 하나님이 이르셨으되 네 부모를 공경하라 하시고 또 아버지나 어머니를 비방하는 자는 반드시 죽임을 당하리라 하셨거늘
4 For God said, `Honor your father and mother` and `Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.`
5 너희는 이르되 누구든지 아버지에게나 어머니에게 말하기를 내가 드려 유익하게 할 것이 하나님께 드림이 되었다고 하기만 하면
5 But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, `Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,`
6 그 부모를 공경할 것이 없다 하여 너희의 전통으로 하나님의 말씀을 폐하는도다
6 he is not to `honor his father` with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
7 외식하는 자들아 이사야가 너희에 관하여 잘 예언하였도다 일렀으되
7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
8 이 백성이 입술로는 나를 공경하되 마음은 내게서 멀도다
8 `These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
9 사람의 계명으로 교훈을 삼아 가르치니 나를 헛되이 경배하는도다 하였느니라 하시고
9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.`"
10 무리를 불러 이르시되 듣고 깨달으라
10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand.
11 입으로 들어가는 것이 사람을 더럽게 하는 것이 아니라 입에서 나오는 그것이 사람을 더럽게 하는 것이니라
11 What goes into a man`s mouth does not make him `unclean,` but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him `unclean.` "
12 이에 제자들이 나아와 이르되 바리새인들이 이 말씀을 듣고 걸림이 된 줄 아시나이까
12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?"
13 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 심은 것마다 내 하늘 아버지께서 심으시지 않은 것은 뽑힐 것이니
13 He replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.
14 그냥 두라 그들은 맹인이 되어 맹인을 인도하는 자로다 만일 맹인이 맹인을 인도하면 둘이 다 구덩이에 빠지리라 하시니
14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."
15 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 이 비유를 우리에게 설명하여 주옵소서
15 Peter said, "Explain the parable to us."
16 예수께서 이르시되 너희도 아직까지 깨달음이 없느냐
16 Are you still so dull? Jesus asked them.
17 입으로 들어가는 모든 것은 배로 들어가서 뒤로 내버려지는 줄 알지 못하느냐
17 Don`t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?
18 입에서 나오는 것들은 마음에서 나오나니 이것이야말로 사람을 더럽게 하느니라
18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man `unclean.`
19 마음에서 나오는 것은 악한 생각과 살인과 간음과 음란과 도둑질과 거짓 증언과 비방이니
19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
20 이런 것들이 사람을 더럽게 하는 것이요 씻지 않은 손으로 먹는 것은 사람을 더럽게 하지 못하느니라
20 These are what make a man `unclean`; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him `unclean.` "
