1장
1 바사 왕 고레스 원년에 여호와께서 예레미야의 입을 통하여 하신 말씀을 이루게 하시려고 바사 왕 고레스의 마음을 감동시키시매 그가 온 나라에 공포도 하고 조서도 내려 이르되
1 In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia,that the word of theLordby the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, theLordstirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, sothat he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:
2 바사 왕 고레스는 말하노니 하늘의 하나님 여호와께서 세상 모든 나라를 내게 주셨고 나에게 명령하사 유다 예루살렘에 성전을 건축하라 하셨나니
2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: TheLord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, andhe has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3 이스라엘의 하나님은 참 신이시라 너희 중에 그의 백성 된 자는 다 유다 예루살렘으로 올라가서 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 성전을 건축하라 그는 예루살렘에 계신 하나님이시라
3 Whoever is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and rebuild the house of theLord, the God of Israel&emdash;he is the God who is in Jerusalem.
4 그 남아 있는 백성이 어느 곳에 머물러 살든지 그 곳 사람들이 마땅히 은과 금과 그 밖의 물건과 짐승으로 도와 주고 그 외에도 예루살렘에 세울 하나님의 성전을 위하여 예물을 기쁘게 드릴지니라 하였더라
4 And let each survivor, in whatever place he sojourns, be assisted by the men of his place with silver and gold, with goods and with beasts, besides freewill offerings for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.
5 이에 유다와 베냐민 족장들과 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 그 마음이 하나님께 감동을 받고 올라가서 예루살렘에 여호와의 성전을 건축하고자 하는 자가 다 일어나니
5 Then rose up the heads of the fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites,everyone whose spiritGod had stirred to go up to rebuild the house of theLordthat is in Jerusalem.
6 그 사면 사람들이 은 그릇과 금과 물품들과 짐승과 보물로 돕고 그 외에도 예물을 기쁘게 드렸더라
6 And all who were about themaided them with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, with beasts, and with costly wares, besides all that was freely offered.
7 고레스 왕이 또 여호와의 성전 그릇을 꺼내니 옛적에 느부갓네살이 예루살렘에서 옮겨다가 자기 신들의 신당에 두었던 것이라
7 Cyrus the king also brought out the vessels of the house of theLordthatNebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and placed in the house of his gods.
8 바사 왕 고레스가 창고지기 미드르닷에게 명령하여 그 그릇들을 꺼내어 세어서 유다 총독 세스바살에게 넘겨주니
8 Cyrus king of Persia brought these out in the charge ofMithredath the treasurer, who counted them out toSheshbazzar the prince of Judah.
9 그 수는 금 접시가 서른 개요 은 접시가 천 개요 칼이 스물아홉 개요
9 And this was the number of them:30 basins of gold, 1,000 basins of silver, 29 censers,
10 금 대접이 서른 개요 그보다 못한 은 대접이 사백열 개요 그밖의 그릇이 천 개이니
10 bowls of gold, 410 bowls of silver, and 1,000 other vessels;
11 금, 은 그릇이 모두 오천사백 개라 사로잡힌 자를 바벨론에서 예루살렘으로 데리고 갈 때에 세스바살이 그 그릇들을 다 가지고 갔더라
11 all the vessels of gold and of silver were 5,400. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up, when the exiles were brought up from Babylonia to Jerusalem.
2장
1 옛적에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살에게 사로잡혀 바벨론으로 갔던 자들의 자손들 중에서 놓임을 받고 예루살렘과 유다 도로 돌아와 각기 각자의 성읍으로 돌아간 자
1 Now these were the people of the province who came up out of the captivity of those exileswhom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried captive to Babylonia. They returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his own town.
2 곧 스룹바벨과 예수아와 느헤미야와 스라야와 르엘라야와 모르드개와 빌산과 미스발과 비그왜와 르훔과 바아나 등과 함께 나온 이스라엘 백성의 명수가 이러하니
2 They came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah,Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, and Baanah.The number of the men of the people of Israel:
3 바로스 자손이 이천백칠십이 명이요
3 the sons of Parosh, 2,172.
4 스바댜 자손이 삼백칠십이 명이요
4 The sons of Shephatiah, 372.
5 아라 자손이 칠백칠십오 명이요
5 The sons of Arah, 775.
6 바핫모압 자손 곧 예수아와 요압 자손이 이천팔백십이 명이요
6 The sons of Pahath-moab, namely the sons of Jeshua and Joab, 2,812.
7 엘람 자손이 천이백오십사 명이요
7 The sons of Elam, 1,254.
8 삿두 자손이 구백사십오 명이요
8 The sons of Zattu, 945.
9 삭개 자손이 칠백육십 명이요
9 The sons of Zaccai, 760.
10 바니 자손이 육백사십이 명이요
10 The sons of Bani, 642.
11 브배 자손이 육백이십삼 명이요
11 The sons of Bebai, 623.
12 아스갓 자손이 천이백이십이 명이요
12 The sons of Azgad, 1,222.
13 아도니감 자손이 육백육십육 명이요
13 The sons of Adonikam, 666.
14 비그왜 자손이 이천오십육 명이요
14 The sons of Bigvai, 2,056.
15 아딘 자손이 사백오십사 명이요
15 The sons of Adin, 454.
16 아델 자손 곧 히스기야 자손이 구십팔 명이요
16 The sons of Ater, namely of Hezekiah, 98.
17 베새 자손이 삼백이십삼 명이요
17 The sons of Bezai, 323.
18 요라 자손이 백십이 명이요
18 The sons of Jorah, 112.
19 하숨 자손이 이백이십삼 명이요
19 The sons of Hashum, 223.

1장
18 십자가의 도가 멸망하는 자들에게는 미련한 것이요 구원을 받는 우리에게는 하나님의 능력이라
18 For the word of the cross isfolly tothose who are perishing, but to uswho are being saved it isthe power of God.
19 기록된 바 내가 지혜 있는 자들의 지혜를 멸하고 총명한 자들의 총명을 폐하리라 하였으니
19 For it is written,I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.
20 지혜 있는 자가 어디 있느냐 선비가 어디 있느냐 이 세대에 변론가가 어디 있느냐 하나님께서 이 세상의 지혜를 미련하게 하신 것이 아니냐
20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age?Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
21 하나님의 지혜에 있어서는 이 세상이 자기 지혜로 하나님을 알지 못하므로 하나님께서 전도의 미련한 것으로 믿는 자들을 구원하시기를 기뻐하셨도다
21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preachto save those who believe.
22 유대인은 표적을 구하고 헬라인은 지혜를 찾으나
22 ForJews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom,
23 우리는 십자가에 못 박힌 그리스도를 전하니 유대인에게는 거리끼는 것이요 이방인에게는 미련한 것이로되
23 but we preach Christcrucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,
24 오직 부르심을 받은 자들에게는 유대인이나 헬라인이나 그리스도는 하나님의 능력이요 하나님의 지혜니라
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christthe power of God andthe wisdom of God.
25 하나님의 어리석음이 사람보다 지혜롭고 하나님의 약하심이 사람보다 강하니라
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 형제들아 너희를 부르심을 보라 육체를 따라 지혜로운 자가 많지 아니하며 능한 자가 많지 아니하며 문벌 좋은 자가 많지 아니하도다
26 For consider your calling, brothers:not many of you were wise according to worldly standards,not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.
27 그러나 하나님께서 세상의 미련한 것들을 택하사 지혜 있는 자들을 부끄럽게 하려 하시고 세상의 약한 것들을 택하사 강한 것들을 부끄럽게 하려 하시며
27 ButGod chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise;God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
28 하나님께서 세상의 천한 것들과 멸시 받는 것들과 없는 것들을 택하사 있는 것들을 폐하려 하시나니
28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, eventhings that are not, tobring to nothing things that are,
29 이는 아무 육체도 하나님 앞에서 자랑하지 못하게 하려 하심이라
29 sothat no human beingmight boast in the presence of God.
30 너희는 하나님으로부터 나서 그리스도 예수 안에 있고 예수는 하나님으로부터 나와서 우리에게 지혜와 의로움과 거룩함과 구원함이 되셨으니
30 And because of himyou are in Christ Jesus, who became to uswisdom from God,righteousness andsanctification andredemption,
31 기록된 바 자랑하는 자는 주 안에서 자랑하라 함과 같게 하려 함이라
31 so that, as it is written,Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.
