8장
21 그 때에 내가 아하와 강 가에서 금식을 선포하고 우리 하나님 앞에서 스스로 겸비하여 우리와 우리 어린 아이와 모든 소유를 위하여 평탄한 길을 그에게 간구하였으니
21 Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the riverAhava, that we might humble ourselves before our God,to seek from him a safe journey for ourselves, our children, and all our goods.
22 이는 우리가 전에 왕에게 아뢰기를 우리 하나님의 손은 자기를 찾는 모든 자에게 선을 베푸시고 자기를 배반하는 모든 자에게는 권능과 진노를 내리신다 하였으므로 길에서 적군을 막고 우리를 도울 보병과 마병을 왕에게 구하기를 부끄러워 하였음이라
22 For I was ashamed to ask the king for a band of soldiers and horsemen to protect us against the enemy on our way, since we had told the king,The hand of our God is for good onall who seek him, and the power of his wrath is against all who forsake him.
23 그러므로 우리가 이를 위하여 금식하며 우리 하나님께 간구하였더니 그의 응낙하심을 입었느니라
23 So we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty.
24 그 때에 내가 제사장의 우두머리들 중 열두 명 곧 세레뱌와 하사뱌와 그의 형제 열 명을 따로 세우고
24 Then I set apart twelve of the leading priests:Sherebiah,Hashabiah, and ten of their kinsmen with them.
25 그들에게 왕과 모사들과 방백들과 또 그 곳에 있는 이스라엘 무리가 우리 하나님의 성전을 위하여 드린 은과 금과 그릇들을 달아서 주었으니
25 And I weighed out to them thesilver and the gold and the vessels, the offering for the house of our God that the king and hiscounselors and his lords and all Israel there present had offered.
26 내가 달아서 그들 손에 준 것은 은이 육백오십 달란트요 은 그릇이 백 달란트요 금이 백 달란트며
26 I weighed out into their hand 650 talentsof silver, and silver vessels worth 200 talents,and 100 talents of gold,
27 또 금잔이 스무 개라 그 무게는 천 다릭이요 또 아름답고 빛나 금 같이 보배로운 놋 그릇이 두 개라
27 bowls of gold worth 1,000 darics,and two vessels of fine bright bronze as precious as gold.
28 내가 그들에게 이르되 너희는 여호와께 거룩한 자요 이 그릇들도 거룩하고 그 은과 금은 너희 조상들의 하나님 여호와께 즐거이 드린 예물이니
28 And I said to them,You are holy to theLord, andthe vessels are holy, and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering to theLord, the God of your fathers.
29 너희는 예루살렘 여호와의 성전 골방에 이르러 제사장들과 레위 사람의 우두머리들과 이스라엘의 족장들 앞에서 이 그릇을 달기까지 삼가 지키라
29 Guard them and keep them until you weigh them before the chief priests and the Levites and the heads of fathers' houses in Israel at Jerusalem,within the chambers of the house of theLord.
30 이에 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 은과 금과 그릇을 예루살렘 우리 하나님의 성전으로 가져가려 하여 그 무게대로 받으니라
30 So the priests and the Levitestook over the weight of the silver and the gold and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem, to the house of our God.
31 첫째 달 십이 일에 우리가 아하와 강을 떠나 예루살렘으로 갈새 우리 하나님의 손이 우리를 도우사 대적과 길에 매복한 자의 손에서 건지신지라
31 Then we departed from the river Ahavaon the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem.The hand of our God was on us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and from ambushes by the way.
32 이에 예루살렘에 이르러 거기서 삼 일 간 머물고
32 We came to Jerusalem, and there we remained three days.
33 제사일에 우리 하나님의 성전에서 은과 금과 그릇을 달아서 제사장 우리아의 아들 므레못의 손에 넘기니 비느하스의 아들 엘르아살과 레위 사람 예수아의 아들 요사밧과 빈누이의 아들 노아댜가 함께 있어
33 On the fourth day, within the house of our God, the silver and the gold and the vessels wereweighed into the hands ofMeremoth the priest, son of Uriah, and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas, and with them were the Levites,Jozabad the son of Jeshua and Noadiah the son ofBinnui.
34 모든 것을 다 세고 달아 보고 그 무게의 총량을 그 때에 기록하였느니라
34 The whole was counted and weighed, and the weight of everything was recorded.
35 사로잡혔던 자의 자손 곧 이방에서 돌아온 자들이 이스라엘의 하나님께 번제를 드렸는데 이스라엘 전체를 위한 수송아지가 열두 마리요 또 숫양이 아흔여섯 마리요 어린 양이 일흔일곱 마리요 또 속죄제의 숫염소가 열두 마리니 모두 여호와께 드린 번제물이라
35 At that timethose who had come from captivity, the returned exiles, offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel,twelve bulls for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and as a sin offering twelve male goats. All this was a burnt offering to theLord.
36 무리가 또 왕의 조서를 왕의 총독들과 유브라데 강 건너편 총독들에게 넘겨 주매 그들이 백성과 하나님의 성전을 도왔느니라
36 They also delivered the king's commissions to the king'ssatrapsand to the governors of the province Beyond the River, and they aided the people and the house of God.고린도전서
5장
1 너희 중에 심지어 음행이 있다 함을 들으니 그런 음행은 이방인 중에서도 없는 것이라 누가 그 아버지의 아내를 취하였다 하는도다
1 It is actually reported that there issexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans,for a man has his father's wife.
2 그리하고도 너희가 오히려 교만하여져서 어찌하여 통한히 여기지 아니하고 그 일 행한 자를 너희 중에서 쫓아내지 아니하였느냐
2 Andyou are arrogant! Ought younot rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.
3 내가 실로 몸으로는 떠나 있으나 영으로는 함께 있어서 거기 있는 것 같이 이런 일 행한 자를 이미 판단하였노라
3 For thoughabsent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did such a thing.
4 주 예수의 이름으로 너희가 내 영과 함께 모여서 우리 주 예수의 능력으로
4 When you are assembledin the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus,
5 이런 자를 사탄에게 내주었으니 이는 육신은 멸하고 영은 주 예수의 날에 구원을 받게 하려 함이라
5 you areto deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, sothat his spirit may be savedin the day of the Lord.
6 너희가 자랑하는 것이 옳지 아니하도다 적은 누룩이 온 덩어리에 퍼지는 것을 알지 못하느냐
6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know thata little leaven leavens the whole lump?
7 너희는 누룩 없는 자인데 새 덩어리가 되기 위하여 묵은 누룩을 내버리라 우리의 유월절 양 곧 그리스도께서 희생되셨느니라
7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
8 이러므로 우리가 명절을 지키되 묵은 누룩으로도 말고 악하고 악의에 찬 누룩으로도 말고 누룩이 없이 오직 순전함과 진실함의 떡으로 하자
8 Let us therefore celebrate the festival,not with the old leaven,the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
