욥기
21장
19 하나님은 그의 죄악을 그의 자손들을 위하여 쌓아 두시며 그에게 갚으실 것을 알게 하시기를 원하노라
19 You say,Godstores up their iniquity for theirchildren.Let him pay it out to them, that they mayknow it.
20 자기의 멸망을 자기의 눈으로 보게 하며 전능자의 진노를 마시게 할 것이니라
20 Let their own eyes see their destruction,and let themdrink of the wrath of the Almighty.
21 그의 달 수가 다하면 자기 집에 대하여 무슨 관계가 있겠느냐
21 For what do they care for their houses after them,whenthe number of their months is cut off?
22 그러나 하나님께서는 높은 자들을 심판하시나니 누가 능히 하나님께 지식을 가르치겠느냐
22 Will any teach God knowledge,seeing that hejudges those who are on high?
23 어떤 사람은 죽도록 기운이 충실하여 안전하며 평안하고
23 One dies in his full vigor,being wholly at ease and secure,
24 그의 그릇에는 젖이 가득하며 그의 골수는 윤택하고
24 his pailsfull of milkandthe marrow of his bones moist.
25 어떤 사람은 마음에 고통을 품고 죽으므로 행복을 맛보지 못하는도다
25 Another dies inbitterness of soul,never having tasted of prosperity.
26 이 둘이 매 한 가지로 흙 속에 눕고 그들 위에 구더기가 덮이는구나
26 Theylie down alike in the dust,andthe worms cover them.
27 내가 너희의 생각을 알고 너희가 나를 해하려는 속셈도 아노라
27 Behold, I know your thoughtsand your schemes to wrong me.
28 너희의 말이 귀인의 집이 어디 있으며 악인이 살던 장막이 어디 있느냐 하는구나
28 For you say,Where is the house of the prince?Where isthe tent in which the wicked lived?
29 너희가 길 가는 사람들에게 묻지 아니하였느냐 그들의 증거를 알지 못하느냐
29 Have you not asked those who travel the roads,and do you not accept their testimony
30 악인은 재난의 날을 위하여 남겨둔 바 되었고 진노의 날을 향하여 끌려가느니라
30 thatthe evil man is spared in the day of calamity,that he is rescued in the day of wrath?
31 누가 능히 그의 면전에서 그의 길을 알려 주며 누가 그의 소행을 보응하랴
31 Who declares his wayto his face,and whorepays him for what he has done?
32 그를 무덤으로 메어 가고 사람이 그 무덤을 지키리라
32 When he iscarried to the grave,watch is kept over his tomb.
33 그는 골짜기의 흙덩이를 달게 여기리니 많은 사람들이 그보다 앞서 갔으며 모든 사람이 그의 뒤에 줄지었느니라
33 The clods of the valley are sweet to him;all mankind follows after him,and those who go before him are innumerable.
34 그런데도 너희는 나를 헛되이 위로하려느냐 너희 대답은 거짓일 뿐이니라
34 How then will you comfort me with empty nothings?There is nothing left of your answers but falsehood.
22장
1 데만 사람 엘리바스가 대답하여 이르되
1 ThenEliphaz the Temanite answered and said:
2 사람이 어찌 하나님께 유익하게 하겠느냐 지혜로운 자도 자기에게 유익할 따름이니라
2 Can a man be profitable to God?Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself.
3 네가 의로운들 전능자에게 무슨 기쁨이 있겠으며 네 행위가 온전한들 그에게 무슨 이익이 되겠느냐
3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if you are in the right,or is it gain to him if youmake your ways blameless?
4 하나님이 너를 책망하시며 너를 심문하심이 너의 경건함 때문이냐
4 Is it for your fear of him that he reproves youandenters into judgment with you?
5 네 악이 크지 아니하냐 네 죄악이 끝이 없느니라
5 Is not your evil abundant?There is no end to your iniquities.
6 까닭 없이 형제를 볼모로 잡으며 헐벗은 자의 의복을 벗기며
6 For you haveexacted pledges of your brothers for nothingand stripped the naked of their clothing.
7 목마른 자에게 물을 마시게 하지 아니하며 주린 자에게 음식을 주지 아니하였구나
7 You have given no water to the weary to drink,and you havewithheld bread from the hungry.
8 권세 있는 자는 토지를 얻고 존귀한 자는 거기에서 사는구나
8 The man with power possessed the land,andthe favored man lived in it.
9 너는 과부를 빈손으로 돌려보내며 고아의 팔을 꺾는구나
9 You havesent widows away empty,andthe arms ofthe fatherless were crushed.
10 그러므로 올무들이 너를 둘러 있고 두려움이 갑자기 너를 엄습하며
10 Thereforesnares are all around you,and sudden terror overwhelms you,
11 어둠이 너로 하여금 보지 못하게 하고 홍수가 너를 덮느니라
11 ordarkness, so that you cannot see,and aflood ofwater covers you.
12 하나님은 높은 하늘에 계시지 아니하냐 보라 우두머리 별이 얼마나 높은가
12 Is not God high in the heavens?Seethe highest stars, how lofty they are!
13 그러나 네 말은 하나님이 무엇을 아시며 흑암 중에서 어찌 심판하실 수 있으랴
13 But you say,What does God know?Can he judge throughthe deep darkness?
14 빽빽한 구름이 그를 가린즉 그가 보지 못하시고 둥근 하늘을 거니실 뿐이라 하는구나
14 Thick clouds veil him, so that he does not see,and he walks on the vault of heaven.
15 네가 악인이 밟던 옛적 길을 지키려느냐
15 Will you keep to the old waythat wicked men have trod?
16 그들은 때가 이르기 전에 끊겨 버렸고 그들의 터는 강물로 말미암아 함몰되었느니라
16 They were snatched awaybefore their time;their foundation was washed away.
17 그들이 하나님께 말하기를 우리를 떠나소서 하며 또 말하기를 전능자가 우리를 위하여 무엇을 하실 수 있으랴 하였으나
17 They said to God,Depart from us,andWhat can the Almighty do to us?
18 하나님이 좋은 것으로 그들의 집에 채우셨느니라 악인의 계획은 나에게서 머니라
18 Yet he filled their houses with good things&emdash;butthe counsel of the wicked is far from me.
19 의인은 보고 기뻐하고 죄 없는 자는 그들을 비웃기를
19 The righteous see it and are glad;the innocent onemocks at them,
20 우리의 원수가 망하였고 그들의 남은 것을 불이 삼켰느니라 하리라
20 saying,Surely our adversaries are cut off,and what they leftthe fire has consumed.
21 너는 하나님과 화목하고 평안하라 그리하면 복이 네게 임하리라
21 Agree with God, andbe at peace;thereby good will come to you.
22 청하건대 너는 하나님의 입에서 교훈을 받고 하나님의 말씀을 네 마음에 두라
22 Receive instruction fromhis mouth,andlay up his words in your heart.
23 네가 만일 전능자에게로 돌아가면 네가 지음을 받을 것이며 또 네 장막에서 불의를 멀리 하리라
23 If youreturn to the Almighty you will bebuilt up;if youremove injustice far from your tents,
24 네 보화를 티끌로 여기고 오빌의 금을 계곡의 돌로 여기라
24 if you lay gold inthe dust,and gold ofOphir among the stones of the torrent-bed,
25 그리하면 전능자가 네 보화가 되시며 네게 고귀한 은이 되시리니
25 then the Almighty will be your goldand your precious silver.
26 이에 네가 전능자를 기뻐하여 하나님께로 얼굴을 들 것이라
26 For then youwill delight yourself in the Almightyandlift up your face to God.
27 너는 그에게 기도하겠고 그는 들으실 것이며 너의 서원을 네가 갚으리라
27 You willmake your prayer to him, and he will hear you,and you willpay your vows.
28 네가 무엇을 결정하면 이루어질 것이요 네 길에 빛이 비치리라
28 You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you,andlight will shine on your ways.
29 사람들이 너를 낮추거든 너는 교만했노라고 말하라 하나님은 겸손한 자를 구원하시리라
29 For when they are humbled you say,It is because of pride;but he savesthe lowly.
30 죄 없는 자가 아니라도 건지시리니 네 손이 깨끗함으로 말미암아 건지심을 받으리라
30 Hedelivers even the one who is not innocent,who will be delivered throughthe cleanness of your hands.고린도후서
1장
3 찬송하리로다 그는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님이시요 자비의 아버지시요 모든 위로의 하나님이시며
3 Blessed be theGod and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies andGod of all comfort,
4 우리의 모든 환난 중에서 우리를 위로하사 우리로 하여금 하나님께 받는 위로로써 모든 환난 중에 있는 자들을 능히 위로하게 하시는 이시로다
4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
5 그리스도의 고난이 우리에게 넘친 것 같이 우리가 받는 위로도 그리스도로 말미암아 넘치는도다
5 For as we share abundantly inChrist's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
6 우리가 환난 당하는 것도 너희가 위로와 구원을 받게 하려는 것이요 우리가 위로를 받는 것도 너희가 위로를 받게 하려는 것이니 이 위로가 너희 속에 역사하여 우리가 받는 것 같은 고난을 너희도 견디게 하느니라
6 If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer.
7 너희를 위한 우리의 소망이 견고함은 너희가 고난에 참여하는 자가 된 것 같이 위로에도 그러할 줄을 앎이라
7 Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as youshare in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.
8 형제들아 우리가 아시아에서 당한 환난을 너희가 모르기를 원하지 아니하노니 힘에 겹도록 심한 고난을 당하여 살 소망까지 끊어지고
8 For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers,ofthe affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself.
9 우리는 우리 자신이 사형 선고를 받은 줄 알았으니 이는 우리로 자기를 의지하지 말고 오직 죽은 자를 다시 살리시는 하나님만 의지하게 하심이라
9 Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make usrely not on ourselvesbut on Godwho raises the dead.
10 그가 이같이 큰 사망에서 우리를 건지셨고 또 건지실 것이며 이 후에도 건지시기를 그에게 바라노라
10 He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us.On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.
11 너희도 우리를 위하여 간구함으로 도우라 이는 우리가 많은 사람의 기도로 얻은 은사로 말미암아 많은 사람이 우리를 위하여 감사하게 하려 함이라
11 You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalffor the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.
