말라기 (Malachi)
3:6-4:6
6 나 여호와는 변하지 아니하나니 그러므로 야곱의 자손들아 너희가 소멸되지 아니하느니라
6 I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.
7 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 너희 조상들의 날로부터 너희가 나의 규례를 떠나 지키지 아니하였도다 그런즉 내게로 돌아오라 그리하면 나도 너희에게로 돌아가리라 하였더니 너희가 이르기를 우리가 어떻게 하여야 돌아가리이까 하는도다
7 Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD Almighty. "But you ask, `How are we to return?`
8 사람이 어찌 하나님의 것을 도둑질하겠느냐 그러나 너희는 나의 것을 도둑질하고도 말하기를 우리가 어떻게 주의 것을 도둑질하였나이까 하는도다 이는 곧 십일조와 봉헌물이라
8 Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, `How do we rob you?` "In tithes and offerings.
9 너희 곧 온 나라가 나의 것을 도둑질하였으므로 너희가 저주를 받았느니라
9 You are under a curse--the whole nation of you--because you are robbing me.
10 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 너희의 온전한 십일조를 창고에 들여 나의 집에 양식이 있게 하고 그것으로 나를 시험하여 내가 하늘 문을 열고 너희에게 복을 쌓을 곳이 없도록 붓지 아니하나 보라
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
11 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 내가 너희를 위하여 메뚜기를 금하여 너희 토지 소산을 먹어 없애지 못하게 하며 너희 밭의 포도나무 열매가 기한 전에 떨어지지 않게 하리니
11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty.
12 너희 땅이 아름다워지므로 모든 이방인들이 너희를 복되다 하리라 만군의 여호와의 말이니라
12 Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land, says the LORD Almighty.
13 여호와가 이르노라 너희가 완악한 말로 나를 대적하고도 이르기를 우리가 무슨 말로 주를 대적하였나이까 하는도다
13 You have said harsh things against me, says the LORD. "Yet you ask, `What have we said against you?`
14 이는 너희가 말하기를 하나님을 섬기는 것이 헛되니 만군의 여호와 앞에서 그 명령을 지키며 슬프게 행하는 것이 무엇이 유익하리요
14 You have said, `It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the LORD Almighty?
15 지금 우리는 교만한 자가 복되다 하며 악을 행하는 자가 번성하며 하나님을 시험하는 자가 화를 면한다 하노라 함이라
15 But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly the evildoers prosper, and even those who challenge God escape.` "
16 그 때에 여호와를 경외하는 자들이 피차에 말하매 여호와께서 그것을 분명히 들으시고 여호와를 경외하는 자와 그 이름을 존중히 여기는 자를 위하여 여호와 앞에 있는 기념책에 기록하셨느니라
16 Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.
17 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 나는 내가 정한 날에 그들을 나의 특별한 소유로 삼을 것이요 또 사람이 자기를 섬기는 아들을 아낌 같이 내가 그들을 아끼리니
17 They will be mine, says the LORD Almighty, "in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him.
18 그 때에 너희가 돌아와서 의인과 악인을 분별하고 하나님을 섬기는 자와 섬기지 아니하는 자를 분별하리라
18 And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.
4장
1 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 보라 용광로 불 같은 날이 이르리니 교만한 자와 악을 행하는 자는 다 지푸라기 같을 것이라 그 이르는 날에 그들을 살라 그 뿌리와 가지를 남기지 아니할 것이로되
1 Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on fire, says the LORD Almighty. "Not a root or a branch will be left to them.
2 내 이름을 경외하는 너희에게는 공의로운 해가 떠올라서 치료하는 광선을 비추리니 너희가 나가서 외양간에서 나온 송아지 같이 뛰리라
2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.
3 또 너희가 악인을 밟을 것이니 그들이 내가 정한 날에 너희 발바닥 밑에 재와 같으리라 만군의 여호와의 말이니라
3 Then you will trample down the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I do these things," says the LORD Almighty.
4 너희는 내가 호렙에서 온 이스라엘을 위하여 내 종 모세에게 명령한 법 곧 율례와 법도를 기억하라
4 Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.
5 보라 여호와의 크고 두려운 날이 이르기 전에 내가 선지자 엘리야를 너희에게 보내리니
5 See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.
6 그가 아버지의 마음을 자녀에게로 돌이키게 하고 자녀들의 마음을 그들의 아버지에게로 돌이키게 하리라 돌이키지 아니하면 두렵건대 내가 와서 저주로 그 땅을 칠까 하노라 하시니라
6 He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse."시편 (Psalms)
1261 여호와께서 집을 세우지 아니하시면 세우는 자의 수고가 헛되며 여호와께서 성을 지키지 아니하시면 파수꾼의 깨어 있음이 헛되도다
1 Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.
2 너희가 일찍이 일어나고 늦게 누우며 수고의 떡을 먹음이 헛되도다 그러므로 여호와께서 그의 사랑하시는 자에게는 잠을 주시는도다
2 In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves.
3 보라 자식들은 여호와의 기업이요 태의 열매는 그의 상급이로다
3 Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.
4 젊은 자의 자식은 장사의 수중의 화살 같으니
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one`s youth.
5 이것이 그의 화살통에 가득한 자는 복되도다 그들이 성문에서 그들의 원수와 담판할 때에 수치를 당하지 아니하리로다
5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.
