이사야
6장
1 웃시야왕의 죽던 해에 내가 본즉 주께서 높이 들린 보좌에 앉으셨는데 그 옷자락은 성전에 가득하였고
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple.
2 스랍들은 모셔 섰는데 각기 여섯 날개가 있어 그 둘로는 그 얼굴을 가리었고 그 둘로는 그 발을 가리었고 그 둘로는 날며
2 Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.
3 서로 창화하여 가로되 거룩하다 거룩하다 거룩하다 만군의 여호와여 그 영광이 온 땅에 충만하도다
3 And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."
4 이 같이 창화하는 자의 소리로 인하여 문지방의 터가 요동하며 집에 연기가 충만한지라
4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
5 그 때에 내가 말하되 화로다 나여 망하게 되었도다 나는 입술이 부정한 사람이요 입술이 부정한 백성 중에 거하면서 만군의 여호와이신 왕을 뵈었음이로다
5 Woe to me! I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty."
6 때에 그 스랍의 하나가 화저로 단에서 취한바 핀 숯을 손에 가지고 내게로 날아와서
6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.
7 그것을 내 입에 대며 가로되 보라 이것이 네 입에 닿았으니 네 악이 제하여졌고 네 죄가 사하여졌느니라 하더라
7 With it he touched my mouth and said, "See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for."
8 내가 또 주의 목소리를 들은즉 이르시되 내가 누구를 보내며 누가 우리를 위하여 갈꼬 그 때에 내가 가로되 내가 여기 있나이다 나를 보내소서
8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
9 여호와께서 가라사대 가서 이 백성에게 이르기를 너희가 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지 못할 것이요 보기는 보아도 알지 못하리라 하여
9 He said, "Go and tell this people: " `Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.`
10 이 백성의 마음으로 둔하게 하며 그 귀가 막히고 눈이 감기게 하라 염려컨대 그들이 눈으로 보고 귀로 듣고 마음으로 깨닫고 다시 돌아와서 고침을 받을까 하노라
10 Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed."
11 내가 가로되 주여 어느 때까지니이까 대답하시되 성읍들은 황폐하여 거민이 없으며 가옥들에는 사람이 없고 이 토지가 전폐하게 되며
11 Then I said, "For how long, O Lord?" And he answered: "Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left deserted and the fields ruined and ravaged,
12 사람들이 여호와께 멀리 옮기워서 이 땅 가운데 폐한 곳이 많을 때까지니라
12 until the LORD has sent everyone far away and the land is utterly forsaken.
13 그 중에 십분의 일이 오히려 남아 있을찌라도 이것도 삼키운바 될 것이나 밤나무, 상수리나무가 베임을 당하여도 그 그루터기는 남아 있는 것 같이 거룩한 씨가 이 땅의 그루터기니라
13 And though a tenth remains in the land, it will again be laid waste. But as the terebinth and oak leave stumps when they are cut down, so the holy seed will be the stump in the land."7장1 웃시야의 손자요 요담의 아들인 유다 왕 아하스 때에 아람 왕 르신과 르말리야의 아들 이스라엘 왕 베가가 올라와서 예루살렘을 쳤으나 능히 이기지 못하니라
1 When Ahaz son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, was king of Judah, King Rezin of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel marched up to fight against Jerusalem, but they could not overpower it.
2 혹이 다윗집에 고하여 가로되 아람이 에브라임과 동맹하였다 하였으므로 왕의 마음과 그 백성의 마음이 삼림이 바람에 흔들림 같이 흔들렸더라
2 Now the house of David was told, "Aram has allied itself with Ephraim"; so the hearts of Ahaz and his people were shaken, as the trees of the forest are shaken by the wind.
3 때에 여호와께서 이사야에게 이르시되 너와 네 아들 스알야숩은 윗못 수도 끝 세탁자의 밭 큰 길에 나가서 아하스를 만나
3 Then the LORD said to Isaiah, "Go out, you and your son Shear-Jashub, to meet Ahaz at the end of the aqueduct of the Upper Pool, on the road to the Washerman`s Field.
4 그에게 이르기를 너는 삼가며 종용하라 아람 왕 르신과 르말리야의 아들이 심히 노할찌라도 연기나는 두 부지깽이 그루터기에 불과하니 두려워 말며 낙심치 말라
4 Say to him, `Be careful, keep calm and don`t be afraid. Do not lose heart because of these two smoldering stubs of firewood--because of the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram and of the son of Remaliah.
5 아람과 에브라임 왕과 르말리야의 아들이 악한 꾀로 너를 대적하여 이르기를
5 Aram, Ephraim and Remaliah`s son have plotted your ruin, saying,
6 우리가 올라가 유다를 쳐서 그것을 곤하게 하고 우리를 위하여 그것을 파하고 다브엘의 아들을 그 중에 세워 왕을 삼자 하였으나
6 Let us invade Judah; let us tear it apart and divide it among ourselves, and make the son of Tabeel king over it.
7 주 여호와의 말씀에 이 도모가 서지 못하며 이루지 못하리라
7 Yet this is what the Sovereign LORD says: " `It will not take place, it will not happen,
8 대저 아람의 머리는 다메섹이요 다메섹의 머리는 르신이며 에브라임의 머리는 사마리아요 사마리아의 머리는 르말리야의 아들이라도 육십 오년 내에 에브라임이 패하여 다시는 나라를 이루지 못하리라 만일 너희가 믿지 아니하면 정녕히 굳게 서지 못하리라 하셨다 할찌니라
8 for the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is only Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be too shattered to be a people.

9 The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah`s son. If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.` "
10 여호와께서 또 아하스에게 일러 가라사대
10 Again the LORD spoke to Ahaz,
11 너는 네 하나님 여호와께 한 징조를 구하되 깊은데서든지 높은데서든지 구하라
11 Ask the LORD your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights.
12 아하스가 가로되 나는 구하지 아니하겠나이다 나는 여호와를 시험치 아니하겠나이다 한지라
12 But Ahaz said, "I will not ask; I will not put the LORD to the test."
13 이사야가 가로되 다윗의 집이여 청컨대 들을찌어다 너희가 사람을 괴롭게 하고 그것을 작은 일로 여겨서 또 나의 하나님을 괴로우시게 하려느냐
13 Then Isaiah said, "Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God also?
14 그러므로 주께서 친히 징조로 너희에게 주실 것이라 보라 처녀가 잉태하여 아들을 낳을 것이요 그 이름을 임마누엘이라 하리라
14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
15 그가 악을 버리며 선을 택할줄 알 때에 미쳐 뻐터와 꿀을 먹을 것이라
15 He will eat curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right.
16 대저 이 아이가 악을 버리며 선을 택할줄 알기 전에 너의 미워하는 두 왕의 땅이 폐한바 되리라
16 But before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste.
17 여호와께서 에브라임이 유다를 떠날 때부터 당하여 보지 못한 날을 너와 네 백성과 네 아비 집에 임하게 하시리니 곧 앗수르 왕의 오는 날이니라
17 The LORD will bring on you and on your people and on the house of your father a time unlike any since Ephraim broke away from Judah--he will bring the king of Assyria."고린도후서
11장
16 내가 다시 말하노니 누구든지 나를 어리석은 자로 여기지 말라 만일 그러하더라도 나로 조금 자랑하게 어리석은 자로 받으라
16 I repeat: Let no one take me for a fool. But if you do, then receive me just as you would a fool, so that I may do a little boasting.
17 내가 말하는 것은 주를 따라 하는 말이 아니요 오직 어리석은 자와 같이 기탄 없이 자랑하노라
17 In this self-confident boasting I am not talking as the Lord would, but as a fool.
18 여러 사람이 육체를 따라 자랑하니 나도 자랑하겠노라
18 Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too will boast.
19 너희는 지혜로운 자로서 어리석은 자들을 기쁘게 용납하는구나
19 You gladly put up with fools since you are so wise!
20 누가 너희로 종을 삼거나 잡아 먹거나 사로잡거나 자고하다 하거나 뺨을 칠찌라도 너희가 용납하는도다
20 In fact, you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of you or pushes himself forward or slaps you in the face.
21 우리가 약한 것 같이 내가 욕되게 말하노라 그러나 누가 무슨 일에 담대하면 어리석은 말이나마 나도 담대하리라
21 To my shame I admit that we were too weak for that! What anyone else dares to boast about--I am speaking as a fool--I also dare to boast about.
22 저희가 히브리인이냐 나도 그러하며 저희가 이스라엘인이냐 나도 그러하며 저희가 아브라함의 씨냐 나도 그러하며
22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they Abraham`s descendants? So am I.
23 저희가 그리스도의 일군이냐 정신 없는 말을 하거니와 나도 더욱 그러하도다 내가 수고를 넘치도록 하고 옥에 갇히기도 더 많이 하고 매도 수없이 맞고 여러번 죽을뻔 하였으니
23 Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again.
24 유대인들에게 사십에 하나 감한 매를 다섯번 맞았으며
24 Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one.
25 세번 태장으로 맞고 한번 돌로 맞고 세번 파선하는데 일주야를 깊음에서 지냈으며
25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea,
26 여러번 여행에 강의 위험과 강도의 위험과 동족의 위험과 이방인의 위험과 시내의 위험과 광야의 위험과 바다의 위험과 거짓 형제 중의 위험을 당하고
26 I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers.
27 또 수고하며 애쓰고 여러번 자지 못하고 주리며 목마르고 여러번 굶고 춥고 헐벗었노라
27 I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked.
28 이 외의 일은 고사하고 오히려 날마다 내 속에 눌리는 일이 있으니 곧 모든 교회를 위하여 염려하는 것이라
28 Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches.
29 누가 약하면 내가 약하지 아니하며 누가 실족하게 되면 내가 애타하지 않더냐
29 Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn?
30 내가 부득불 자랑할찐대 나의 약한 것을 자랑하리라
30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.
31 주 예수의 아버지 영원히 찬송할 하나님이 나의 거짓말 아니하는 줄을 아시느니라
31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying.
32 다메섹에서 아레다왕의 방백이 나를 잡으려고 다메섹 성을 지킬쌔
32 In Damascus the governor under King Aretas had the city of the Damascenes guarded in order to arrest me.
33 내가 광주리를 타고 들창문으로 성벽을 내려가 그 손에서 벗어났노라
33 But I was lowered in a basket from a window in the wall and slipped through his hands.
