8
1 그 후에 예수께서 각 성과 마을에 두루 다니시며 하나님의 나라를 선포하시며 그 복음을 전하실새 열두 제자가 함께 하였고
1 After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him,
2 또한 악귀를 쫓아내심과 병 고침을 받은 어떤 여자들 곧 일곱 귀신이 나간 자 막달라인이라 하는 마리아와
2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out;
3 헤롯의 청지기 구사의 아내 요안나와 수산나와 다른 여러 여자가 함께 하여 자기들의 소유로 그들을 섬기더라
3 Joanna the wife of Cuza, the manager of Herod`s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.
4 각 동네 사람들이 예수께로 나아와 큰 무리를 이루니 예수께서 비유로 말씀하시되
4 While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable:
5 씨를 뿌리는 자가 그 씨를 뿌리러 나가서 뿌릴새 더러는 길 가에 떨어지매 밟히며 공중의 새들이 먹어버렸고
5 A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up.
6 더러는 바위 위에 떨어지매 싹이 났다가 습기가 없으므로 말랐고
6 Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture.
7 더러는 가시떨기 속에 떨어지매 가시가 함께 자라서 기운을 막았고
7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants.
8 더러는 좋은 땅에 떨어지매 나서 백 배의 결실을 하였느니라 이 말씀을 하시고 외치시되 들을 귀 있는 자는 들을지어다
8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown." When he said this, he called out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
9 제자들이 이 비유의 뜻을 물으니
9 His disciples asked him what this parable meant.
10 이르시되 하나님 나라의 비밀을 아는 것이 너희에게는 허락되었으나 다른 사람에게는 비유로 하나니 이는 그들로 보아도 보지 못하고 들어도 깨닫지 못하게 하려 함이라
10 He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, " `though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.`
11 이 비유는 이러하니라 씨는 하나님의 말씀이요
11 This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.
12 길 가에 있다는 것은 말씀을 들은 자니 이에 마귀가 가서 그들이 믿어 구원을 얻지 못하게 하려고 말씀을 그 마음에서 빼앗는 것이요
12 Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
13 바위 위에 있다는 것은 말씀을 들을 때에 기쁨으로 받으나 뿌리가 없어 잠깐 믿다가 시련을 당할 때에 배반하는 자요
13 Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.
14 가시떨기에 떨어졌다는 것은 말씀을 들은 자이나 지내는 중 이생의 염려와 재물과 향락에 기운이 막혀 온전히 결실하지 못하는 자요
14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life`s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.
15 좋은 땅에 있다는 것은 착하고 좋은 마음으로 말씀을 듣고 지키어 인내로 결실하는 자니라
15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
16 누구든지 등불을 켜서 그릇으로 덮거나 평상 아래에 두지 아니하고 등경 위에 두나니 이는 들어가는 자들로 그 빛을 보게 하려 함이라
16 No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.
17 숨은 것이 장차 드러나지 아니할 것이 없고 감추인 것이 장차 알려지고 나타나지 않을 것이 없느니라
17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.
18 그러므로 너희가 어떻게 들을까 스스로 삼가라 누구든지 있는 자는 받겠고 없는 자는 그 있는 줄로 아는 것까지도 빼앗기리라 하시니라
18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken from him."
19 예수의 어머니와 그 동생들이 왔으나 무리로 인하여 가까이 하지 못하니
19 Now Jesus` mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd.
20 어떤 이가 알리되 당신의 어머니와 동생들이 당신을 보려고 밖에 서 있나이다
20 Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you."
21 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 내 어머니와 내 동생들은 곧 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 행하는 이 사람들이라 하시니라
21 He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God`s word and put it into practice."
22 하루는 제자들과 함께 배에 오르사 그들에게 이르시되 호수 저편으로 건너가자 하시매 이에 떠나
22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let`s go over to the other side of the lake." So they got into a boat and set out.
23 행선할 때에 예수께서 잠이 드셨더니 마침 광풍이 호수로 내리치매 배에 물이 가득하게 되어 위태한지라
23 As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.
24 제자들이 나아와 깨워 이르되 주여 주여 우리가 죽겠나이다 한대 예수께서 잠을 깨사 바람과 물결을 꾸짖으시니 이에 그쳐 잔잔하여지더라
24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we`re going to drown!" He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.
25 제자들에게 이르시되 너희 믿음이 어디 있느냐 하시니 그들이 두려워하고 놀랍게 여겨 서로 말하되 그가 누구이기에 바람과 물을 명하매 순종하는가 하더라
25 Where is your faith? he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him."
26 그들이 갈릴리 맞은편 거라사인의 땅에 이르러
26 They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes, which is across the lake from Galilee.
27 예수께서 육지에 내리시매 그 도시 사람으로서 귀신 들린 자 하나가 예수를 만나니 그 사람은 오래 옷을 입지 아니하며 집에 거하지도 아니하고 무덤 사이에 거하는 자라
27 When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs.
28 예수를 보고 부르짖으며 그 앞에 엎드려 큰 소리로 불러 이르되 지극히 높으신 하나님의 아들 예수여 당신이 나와 무슨 상관이 있나이까 당신께 구하노니 나를 괴롭게 하지 마옵소서 하니
28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don`t torture me!"
29 이는 예수께서 이미 더러운 귀신을 명하사 그 사람에게서 나오라 하셨음이라 (귀신이 가끔 그 사람을 붙잡으므로 그를 쇠사슬과 고랑에 매어 지켰으되 그 맨 것을 끊고 귀신에게 몰려 광야로 나갔더라)
29 For Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places.
30 예수께서 네 이름이 무엇이냐 물으신즉 이르되 군대라 하니 이는 많은 귀신이 들렸음이라
30 Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" "Legion," he replied, because many demons had gone into him.
31 무저갱으로 들어가라 하지 마시기를 간구하더니
31 And they begged him repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss.
32 마침 그 곳에 많은 돼지 떼가 산에서 먹고 있는지라 귀신들이 그 돼지에게로 들어가게 허락하심을 간구하니 이에 허락하시니
32 A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into them, and he gave them permission.
33 귀신들이 그 사람에게서 나와 돼지에게로 들어가니 그 떼가 비탈로 내리달아 호수에 들어가 몰사하거늘
33 When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.
34 치던 자들이 그 이루어진 일을 보고 도망하여 성내와 마을에 알리니
34 When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside,
35 사람들이 그 이루어진 일을 보러 나와서 예수께 이르러 귀신 나간 사람이 옷을 입고 정신이 온전하여 예수의 발치에 앉아 있는 것을 보고 두려워하거늘
35 and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus` feet, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
36 귀신 들렸던 자가 어떻게 구원 받았는지를 본 자들이 그들에게 이르매
36 Those who had seen it told the people how the demon-possessed man had been cured.
37 거라사인의 땅 근방 모든 백성이 크게 두려워하여 예수께 떠나가시기를 구하더라 예수께서 배에 올라 돌아가실새
37 Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left.
38 귀신 나간 사람이 함께 있기를 구하였으나 예수께서 그를 보내시며 이르시되
38 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 집으로 돌아가 하나님이 네게 어떻게 큰 일을 행하셨는지를 말하라 하시니 그가 가서 예수께서 자기에게 어떻게 큰 일을 행하셨는지를 온 성내에 전파하니라
39 Return home and tell how much God has done for you. So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.
40 예수께서 돌아오시매 무리가 환영하니 이는 다 기다렸음이러라
40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him.
41 이에 회당장인 야이로라 하는 사람이 와서 예수의 발 아래에 엎드려 자기 집에 오시기를 간구하니
41 Then a man named Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, came and fell at Jesus` feet, pleading with him to come to his house
42 이는 자기에게 열두 살 된 외딸이 있어 죽어감이러라 예수께서 가실 때에 무리가 밀려들더라
42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying. As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him.
43 이에 열두 해를 혈루증으로 앓는 중에 아무에게도 고침을 받지 못하던 여자가
43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her.
44 예수의 뒤로 와서 그의 옷 가에 손을 대니 혈루증이 즉시 그쳤더라
44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.
45 예수께서 이르시되 내게 손을 댄 자가 누구냐 하시니 다 아니라 할 때에 베드로가 이르되 주여 무리가 밀려들어 미나이다
45 Who touched me? Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, "Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you."
46 예수께서 이르시되 내게 손을 댄 자가 있도다 이는 내게서 능력이 나간 줄 앎이로다 하신대
46 But Jesus said, "Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me."
47 여자가 스스로 숨기지 못할 줄 알고 떨며 나아와 엎드리어 그 손 댄 이유와 곧 나은 것을 모든 사람 앞에서 말하니
47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed.
48 예수께서 이르시되 딸아 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였으니 평안히 가라 하시더라
48 Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."
49 아직 말씀하실 때에 회당장의 집에서 사람이 와서 말하되 당신의 딸이 죽었나이다 선생님을 더 괴롭게 하지 마소서 하거늘
49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue ruler. "Your daughter is dead," he said. "Don`t bother the teacher any more."
50 예수께서 들으시고 이르시되 두려워하지 말고 믿기만 하라 그리하면 딸이 구원을 얻으리라 하시고
50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, "Don`t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed."
51 그 집에 이르러 베드로와 요한과 야고보와 아이의 부모 외에는 함께 들어가기를 허락하지 아니하시니라
51 When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child`s father and mother.
52 모든 사람이 아이를 위하여 울며 통곡하매 예수께서 이르시되 울지 말라 죽은 것이 아니라 잔다 하시니
52 Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. "Stop wailing," Jesus said. "She is not dead but asleep."
53 그들이 그 죽은 것을 아는 고로 비웃더라
53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead.
54 예수께서 아이의 손을 잡고 불러 이르시되 아이야 일어나라 하시니
54 But he took her by the hand and said, "My child, get up!"
55 그 영이 돌아와 아이가 곧 일어나거늘 예수께서 먹을 것을 주라 명하시니
55 Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat.
56 그 부모가 놀라는지라 예수께서 경고하사 이 일을 아무에게도 말하지 말라 하시니라
56 Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.잠언 (Proverbs)
191 가난하여도 성실하게 행하는 자는 입술이 패역하고 미련한 자보다 나으니라
1 Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a fool whose lips are perverse.
2 지식 없는 소원은 선하지 못하고 발이 급한 사람은 잘못 가느니라
2 It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.
3 사람이 미련하므로 자기 길을 굽게 하고 마음으로 여호와를 원망하느니라
3 A man`s own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the LORD.
4 재물은 많은 친구를 더하게 하나 가난한즉 친구가 끊어지느니라
4 Wealth brings many friends, but a poor man`s friend deserts him.
5 거짓 증인은 벌을 면하지 못할 것이요 거짓말을 하는 자도 피하지 못하리라
5 A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will not go free.
6 너그러운 사람에게는 은혜를 구하는 자가 많고 선물 주기를 좋아하는 자에게는 사람마다 친구가 되느니라
6 Many curry favor with a ruler, and everyone is the friend of a man who gives gifts.
7 가난한 자는 그의 형제들에게도 미움을 받거든 하물며 친구야 그를 멀리 하지 아니하겠느냐 따라가며 말하려 할지라도 그들이 없어졌으리라
7 A poor man is shunned by all his relatives-- how much more do his friends avoid him! Though he pursues them with pleading, they are nowhere to be found.
8 지혜를 얻는 자는 자기 영혼을 사랑하고 명철을 지키는 자는 복을 얻느니라
8 He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who cherishes understanding prospers.
9 거짓 증인은 벌을 면하지 못할 것이요 거짓말을 뱉는 자는 망할 것이니라
9 A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will perish.
10 미련한 자가 사치하는 것이 적당하지 못하거든 하물며 종이 방백을 다스림이랴
10 It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury-- how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!
11 노하기를 더디 하는 것이 사람의 슬기요 허물을 용서하는 것이 자기의 영광이니라
11 A man`s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.
12 왕의 노함은 사자의 부르짖음 같고 그의 은택은 풀 위의 이슬 같으니라
12 A king`s rage is like the roar of a lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass.
13 미련한 아들은 그의 아비의 재앙이요 다투는 아내는 이어 떨어지는 물방울이니라
13 A foolish son is his father`s ruin, and a quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping.
14 집과 재물은 조상에게서 상속하거니와 슬기로운 아내는 여호와께로서 말미암느니라
14 Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the LORD.
15 게으름이 사람으로 깊이 잠들게 하나니 태만한 사람은 주릴 것이니라
15 Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless man goes hungry.
16 계명을 지키는 자는 자기의 영혼을 지키거니와 자기의 행실을 삼가지 아니하는 자는 죽으리라
16 He who obeys instructions guards his life, but he who is contemptuous of his ways will die.
17 가난한 자를 불쌍히 여기는 것은 여호와께 꾸어 드리는 것이니 그의 선행을 그에게 갚아 주시리라
17 He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done.
18 네가 네 아들에게 희망이 있은즉 그를 징계하되 죽일 마음은 두지 말지니라
18 Discipline your son, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to his death.
19 노하기를 맹렬히 하는 자는 벌을 받을 것이라 네가 그를 건져 주면 다시 그런 일이 생기리라
19 A hot-tempered man must pay the penalty; if you rescue him, you will have to do it again.
20 너는 권고를 들으며 훈계를 받으라 그리하면 네가 필경은 지혜롭게 되리라
20 Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise.
21 사람의 마음에는 많은 계획이 있어도 오직 여호와의 뜻만이 완전히 서리라
21 Many are the plans in a man`s heart, but it is the LORD`s purpose that prevails.
22 사람은 자기의 인자함으로 남에게 사모함을 받느니라 가난한 자는 거짓말하는 자보다 나으니라
22 What a man desires is unfailing love ; better to be poor than a liar.
23 여호와를 경외하는 것은 사람으로 생명에 이르게 하는 것이라 경외하는 자는 족하게 지내고 재앙을 당하지 아니하느니라
23 The fear of the LORD leads to life: Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.
24 게으른 자는 자기의 손을 그릇에 넣고서도 입으로 올리기를 괴로워하느니라
24 The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not even bring it back to his mouth!
25 거만한 자를 때리라 그리하면 어리석은 자도 지혜를 얻으리라 명철한 자를 견책하라 그리하면 그가 지식을 얻으리라
25 Flog a mocker, and the simple will learn prudence; rebuke a discerning man, and he will gain knowledge.
26 아비를 구박하고 어미를 쫓아내는 자는 부끄러움을 끼치며 능욕을 부르는 자식이니라
26 He who robs his father and drives out his mother is a son who brings shame and disgrace.
27 내 아들아 지식의 말씀에서 떠나게 하는 교훈을 듣지 말지니라
27 Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge.
28 망령된 증인은 정의를 업신여기고 악인의 입은 죄악을 삼키느니라
28 A corrupt witness mocks at justice, and the mouth of the wicked gulps down evil.
29 심판은 거만한 자를 위하여 예비된 것이요 채찍은 어리석은 자의 등을 위하여 예비된 것이니라
29 Penalties are prepared for mockers, and beatings for the backs of fools.
