에스겔
25장
8 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 모압과 세일이 이르기를 유다 족속은 모든 이방과 다름이 없다 하도다
8 Thus says the LordGod: BecauseMoab andSeirsaid,Behold, thehouse of Judah is like all the other nations,
9 그러므로 내가 모압의 한편 곧 그 나라 국경에 있는 영화로운 성읍들 벧여시못과 바알므온과 기랴다임을 열고
9 thereforeI will lay open the flank of Moab from the cities, from its cities on its frontier, the glory of the country,Beth-jeshimoth,Baal-meon, andKiriathaim.
10 암몬 족속과 더불어 동방 사람에게 넘겨 주어 기업을 삼게 할 것이라 암몬 족속이 다시는 이방 가운데에서 기억되지 아니하게 하려니와
10 I will give italong with the Ammonitesto the people of the East as a possession,that the Ammonites may be remembered no more among the nations,
11 내가 모압에 벌을 내리리니 내가 주 여호와인 줄을 너희가 알리라
11 and I will execute judgments upon Moab.Then they will know that I am theLord.
12 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 에돔이 유다 족속을 쳐서 원수를 갚았고 원수를 갚음으로 심히 범죄하였도다
12 Thus says the LordGod: BecauseEdom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offendedin taking vengeance on them,
13 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 내 손을 에돔 위에 펴서 사람과 짐승을 그 가운데에서 끊어 데만에서부터 황폐하게 하리니 드단까지 칼에 엎드러지리라
13 therefore thus says the LordGod,I will stretch out my hand against Edom and cut off from it man and beast. And I will make it desolate; fromTeman even toDedan they shall fall by the sword.
14 내가 내 백성 이스라엘의 손으로 내 원수를 에돔에게 갚으리니 그들이 내 진노와 분노를 따라 에돔에 행한즉 내가 원수를 갚음인 줄을 에돔이 알리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
14 And I will lay my vengeance upon Edomby the hand of my people Israel, and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath, andthey shall know my vengeance, declares the LordGod.
15 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 블레셋 사람이 옛날부터 미워하여 멸시하는 마음으로 원수를 갚아 진멸하고자 하였도다
15 Thus says the LordGod: Becausethe Philistinesacted revengefully and took vengeancewith malice of soul to destroy in never-ending enmity,
16 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 블레셋 사람 위에 손을 펴서 그렛 사람을 끊으며 해변에 남은 자를 진멸하되
16 therefore thus says the LordGod,Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut offthe Cherethites and destroy the rest of the seacoast.
17 분노의 책벌로 내 원수를 그들에게 크게 갚으리라 내가 그들에게 원수를 갚은즉 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알리라 하시니라
17 I will execute great vengeance on themwith wrathful rebukes.Then they will know that I am theLord, when I lay my vengeance upon them.
26장
1 열한째 해 어느 달 초하루에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되
1 In the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, the word of theLordcame to me:
2 인자야 두로가 예루살렘에 관하여 이르기를 아하 만민의 문이 깨져서 내게로 돌아왔도다 그가 황폐하였으니 내가 충만함을 얻으리라 하였도다
2 Son of man, becauseTyre said concerning Jerusalem,Aha, the gate of the peoples is broken; it has swung open to me. I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste,
3 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 두로야 내가 너를 대적하여 바다가 그 파도를 굽이치게 함 같이 여러 민족들이 와서 너를 치게 하리니
3 therefore thus says the LordGod:Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will bring upmany nations against you,as the sea brings up its waves.
4 그들이 두로의 성벽을 무너뜨리며 그 망대를 헐 것이요 나도 티끌을 그 위에서 쓸어 버려 맨 바위가 되게 하며
4 They shall destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers, and I will scrape her soil from her andmake her a bare rock.
5 바다 가운데에 그물 치는 곳이 되게 하리니 내가 말하였음이라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라 그가 이방의 노략 거리가 될 것이요
5 Sheshall be in the midst of the sea a place for the spreading of nets,for I have spoken, declares the LordGod. And she shall become plunder for the nations,
6 들에 있는 그의 딸들은 칼에 죽으리니 그들이 나를 여호와인 줄을 알리라
6 and her daughters on the mainland shall be killed by the sword.Then they will know that I am theLord.
7 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 왕들 중의 왕 곧 바벨론의 느부갓네살 왕으로 하여금 북쪽에서 말과 병거와 기병과 군대와 백성의 큰 무리를 거느리고 와서 두로를 치게 할 때에
7 For thus says the LordGod:Behold, I will bring against Tyrefrom the north Nebuchadnezzarking of Babylon,king of kings, with horses and chariots, and with horsemen and a host of many soldiers.
8 그가 들에 있는 너의 딸들을 칼로 죽이고 너를 치려고 사다리를 세우며 토성을 쌓으며 방패를 갖출 것이며
8 He will kill with the swordyour daughters on the mainland.He will set up a siege wall against you and throw up a mound against you, and raisea roof of shields against you.
9 공성퇴를 가지고 네 성을 치며 도끼로 망대를 찍을 것이며
9 He will direct the shock of his battering rams against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your towers.
10 말이 많으므로 그 티끌이 너를 가릴 것이며 사람이 무너진 성 구멍으로 들어가는 것 같이 그가 네 성문으로 들어갈 때에 그 기병과 수레와 병거의 소리로 말미암아 네 성곽이 진동할 것이며
10 His horses will be so many that their dust will cover you. Your walls will shake at the noise of the horsemen and wagons and chariots, when he enters your gates as men enter a city that has been breached.
11 그가 그 말굽으로 네 모든 거리를 밟을 것이며 칼로 네 백성을 죽일 것이며 네 견고한 석상을 땅에 엎드러뜨릴 것이며
11 With the hoofs of his horses he will trample all your streets. He will kill your people with the sword, and your mighty pillars will fall to the ground.
12 네 재물을 빼앗을 것이며 네가 무역한 것을 노략할 것이며 네 성을 헐 것이며 네가 기뻐하는 집을 무너뜨릴 것이며 또 네 돌들과 네 재목과 네 흙을 다 물 가운데에 던질 것이라
12 They will plunderyour riches and lootyour merchandise. They will break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses. Your stones and timber andsoil they will cast into the midst of the waters.
13 내가 네 노래 소리를 그치게 하며 네 수금 소리를 다시 들리지 않게 하고
13 And I will stop the music of your songs, andthe sound of your lyres shall be heard no more.
14 너를 맨 바위가 되게 한즉 네가 그물 말리는 곳이 되고 다시는 건축되지 못하리니 나 여호와가 말하였음이니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
14 I will make you a bare rock.You shall be a place for the spreading of nets. You shall never be rebuilt,for I am theLord; I have spoken, declares the LordGod.
15 주 여호와께서 이같이 두로에 대하여 말씀하시되 네가 엎드러지는 소리에 모든 섬이 진동하지 아니하겠느냐 곧 너희 가운데에 상한 자가 부르짖으며 죽임을 당할 때에라
15 Thus says the LordGodto Tyre: Will notthe coastlands shake at the sound of your fall,when the wounded groan, when slaughter is made in your midst?
16 그 때에 바다의 모든 왕이 그 보좌에서 내려 조복을 벗으며 수 놓은 옷을 버리고 떨림을 입듯 하고 땅에 앉아서 너로 말미암아 무시로 떨며 놀랄 것이며
16 Then allthe princes of the sea will step down from their thrones andremove their robes and strip off their embroidered garments. They will clothe themselves with trembling;they will sit on the ground andtremble every moment andbe appalled at you.
17 그들이 너를 위하여 슬픈 노래를 불러 이르기를 항해자가 살았던 유명한 성읍이여 너와 너의 주민이 바다 가운데에 있어 견고하였도다 해변의 모든 주민을 두렵게 하였더니 어찌 그리 멸망하였는고
17 And they willraise a lamentation over you and say to you,How you have perished,you who were inhabited from the seas,O city renowned,who was mighty on the sea;she and her inhabitantsimposed their terroron all her inhabitants!
18 네가 무너지는 그날에 섬들이 진동할 것임이여 바다 가운데의 섬들이 네 결국을 보고 놀라리로다 하리라
18 Now the coastlands trembleon the day of your fall,and the coastlands that are on the seaare dismayed at your passing.
19 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 너를 주민이 없는 성읍과 같이 황폐한 성읍이 되게 하고 깊은 바다가 네 위에 오르게 하며 큰 물이 너를 덮게 할 때에
19 For thus says the LordGod: When I make you a city laid waste, like the cities that are not inhabited,when I bring up the deep over you, and the great waters cover you,
20 내가 너를 구덩이에 내려가는 자와 함께 내려가서 옛적 사람에게로 나아가게 하고 너를 그 구덩이에 내려간 자와 함께 땅 깊은 곳 예로부터 황폐한 곳에 살게 하리라 네가 다시는 사람이 거주하는 곳이 되지 못하리니 살아 있는 자의 땅에서 영광을 얻지 못하리라
20 thenI will make you go down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of old, and I will make you to dwell in the world below, among ruins from of old,with those who go down to the pit, so that you will not be inhabited; but I will set beautyin the land of the living.
21 내가 너를 패망하게 하여 다시 있지 못하게 하리니 사람이 비록 너를 찾으나 다시는 영원히 만나지 못하리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
21 I will bring youto a dreadful end, and you shall be no more.Though you be sought for, you will never be found again, declares the LordGod.히브리서
11장
1 믿음은 바라는 것들의 실상이요 보이지 않는 것들의 증거니
1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction ofthings not seen.
2 선진들이 이로써 증거를 얻었느니라
2 For by it the people of old received their commendation.
3 믿음으로 모든 세계가 하나님의 말씀으로 지어진 줄을 우리가 아나니 보이는 것은 나타난 것으로 말미암아 된 것이 아니니라
3 By faith we understand that the universe was created bythe word of God, so that what is seen was not made out ofthings that are visible.
4 믿음으로 아벨은 가인보다 더 나은 제사를 하나님께 드림으로 의로운 자라 하시는 증거를 얻었으니 하나님이 그 예물에 대하여 증언하심이라 그가 죽었으나 그 믿음으로써 지금도 말하느니라
4 By faithAbel offered to Goda more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. Andthrough his faith, though he died, hestill speaks.
5 믿음으로 에녹은 죽음을 보지 않고 옮겨졌으니 하나님이 그를 옮기심으로 다시 보이지 아니하였느니라 그는 옮겨지기 전에 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 자라 하는 증거를 받았느니라
5 By faithEnoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.
6 믿음이 없이는 하나님을 기쁘시게 하지 못하나니 하나님께 나아가는 자는 반드시 그가 계신 것과 또한 그가 자기를 찾는 자들에게 상 주시는 이심을 믿어야 할지니라
6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to Godmust believe that he exists andthat he rewards those who seek him.
7 믿음으로 노아는 아직 보이지 않는 일에 경고하심을 받아 경외함으로 방주를 준비하여 그 집을 구원하였으니 이로 말미암아 세상을 정죄하고 믿음을 따르는 의의 상속자가 되었느니라
7 By faithNoah, being warned by God concerningevents as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir ofthe righteousness that comes by faith.
